Reaching Students for Christ, Equipping Students to Serve
Because God loves us, we:
Love the Campus.
Want something deeper?
We believe that every person is made in God's image, is beautiful, and deserves dignity (Gen 1:26-28, Psalm 8).
We believe that every person has rebelled against God and has broken the image of God within them (Gen 3, Ps 53:3; Romans 3:10-12)
We believe that every person experiences the brokenness of life because of what others have done to us as well as what we have done to ourselves (Gen 3:17-23; 1 Peter 2:19-23).
We believe that God became human in the man Jesus of Nazareth. Through his perfect life, he is the only truly unbroken, non-rebellious human. Through his perfect life, sacrificial death, and victorious resurrection, he makes those who trust in him and his work, to be truly human (2 Cor 5:16-21, Col ).
We believe that after Jesus ascended in bodily form into heaven and sat down upon his throne, that he sent his Holy Spirit to shape those who believe in him progressively into his image and more and more truly human (Acts 1-2; Col 3) .
We live in the hope that these things are true. We live in the hope- filled promise that Jesus will return to make all sadness and broken come untrue (Rev 19-21).
Because these things are true, we take Jesus' words at the end of his time physical time on earth seriously: "As you go, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the son Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey all that I command you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." (Matthew 28:19-20)
We desire to share this good news with other students on campus in Tyler. We believe that as we grow in understanding this amazing story and the amazing person of Jesus, we will be equipped to serve others on and off campus as well as now as students and in the future after we graduate.
